Self-aligning ball bearings

The self-aligning ball bearing is capable of rotating with minimal friction, supporting both radial and axial loads. This design allows the bearing to automatically correct misalignment caused by shaft deflections or housing misalignment, resulting in reduced bearing loads and increased bearing life. It consists of two rows of balls and a common spherical raceway on the outer ring, allowing the bearing to self-align under load.

The self-aligning characteristics of spherical roller bearings allow them to more effectively compensate for shaft misalignment. This means that misalignments can be easily accommodated. Spherical roller bearings are particularly well suited for low- to medium-speed applications, making them an ideal choice for integration into your manufacturing solution.

Self-aligning ball bearings come in two types: cylindrical bore and tapered bore. The cage can be made of steel sheet or synthetic resin. Common models of deep groove ball bearings available through Focus Bearing include 1200, 1300, 2200, 2300 series and Micro series: 10x, 12x, 13x.

SPECIFICATIONS

Two types of self-aligning ball bearings: cylindrical and tapered, with a taper ratio of the internal tapered bore of 1:12 or 1:30.

The outer ring of the bearing has an annular oil groove and three oil holes to improve lubrication.

Dust caps or seals are supplied pre-lubricated.

Do not heat or clean before installation.

Withstand temperatures from -30°C to +120°C.
